BRIEF HISTORY OF DARUS-SALAM
Darus-Salam Educational Centre was registered on the 18th July, 2016. The school started on Tuesday, 6th September, 2016 with three (3) pupils namely; Hawa Zakari and Fatima Hassan both in KG2 and Jannatu-Firdaus Seidu in Nursery Two. There were about six workers serving the three pupils; that is two teachers, one mallam, one cook, one cleaner and one person acting as the driver, administrator, deputy headmaster etc. By the close of the first term in December, the enrolment was eleven (11).
Darus – Salam Educational Centre was established for Parents and Guardians who want An Islamic Environment for their children and also are very conscious of Discipline, Time Consciousness, Good and Neat Environment, Good Attitude and Character and above all Academic and Religious Excellence.
Apart from the GES syllabus we follow religiously, we also teach French, Arabic Language, Qur’an and Islamic Religious Studies. We create a highly Islamic Environment including praying Zuhr and Asr in school before closing and also going out for Jumma Prayers every Friday. The school and its environment is highly secured aided by a 24 hour CCTV surveillance which is accessible anywhere in the world.
